Defense Threat Reduction Agency: Fundamental Research to Counter Weapons of Mass Destruction - white paper

Topics: WMD sensing and recognition (interactions between materials and various electromagnetic phenomena, molecules, nuclear radiation, and particles); Network sciences (response, resilience, and recovery of physical networks after exposure, rapid discovery, theories and representations for low observable WMD-related radical ideation from social networks); Protection (physical, biological, and engineering sciences to protect personnel, sensitive electronic systems, and structural infrastructure from the effects of WMD); Defeat (improving energetic materials for use against WMD facilities and systems); Securing WMD (handling, transport, control of access, or eliminating WMD components); Cooperative fundamental research to reduce the global threat of WMD in collaboration with a broad range of global research partners; Chemical and Biological Defense. Projects will be funded for up to 5 years.
