ISF accepts applications for basic science projects in all fields. The grants are given to 1-4 investigators for up to 4 years (5 years as pilot in social, life sciences and medicine). Proposals are evaluated for scientific excellence: [1] Originality & innovation, [2] Significance & implications, [3] Adequacy of methods, and [4] Suitability of investigators’ scientific background (see review instructions: https://www.isf.org.il/#/judging-process ). Funding: No formal limit. Average annual budgets, in exact sciences and technology are NIS 256,000, in life sciences and medicine NIS 282,000, in humanities NIS 140,000, and in social sciences NIS 170,000.
