Association for Computing Machinery: Turing and other ACM Awards in Computer Science

ACM recognizes excellence through its eminent series of awards for outstanding technical and professional achievements and contributions in computer science and information technology. These include:

-Turing Award is given for major contributions of lasting importance to computing. Recipients are invited to give the annual A.M. Turing Award Lecture. Prize: $1 million.

-Grace Murray Hopper Award to the outstanding young (<35 yrs) computer professional of the year, selected on the basis of a single recent major technical or service contribution. Prize: $35,000.

Other awards include: Distinguished Service Award, Outstanding Contribution to ACM Award, Software System Award, and more.

-ACM Prize in Computing recognizes an early to mid-career fundamental, innovative contribution in computing that, through its depth, impact and broad implications, exemplifies the greatest achievements in the discipline. Prize: $250,000.
